In the future, sentient dogs are getting really fed up with AIs taking their place as man’s best friend.

“Woof!” I was trying to get my master’s attention because I wanted to play with him. He hasn’t played with me ever since he got his new robot friend a few month’s ago. “Tom go play with Lucy!” my owner commanded. I love Lucy and all, but I miss playing with a human. “Did he send you away again?” Lucy asked, “Yes. I’m starting to think he’s forgetting about us… I know some other dogs in our neighborhood have had the same thing happen to them. So what do we do?” “There’s not much we can do, Tom. At least we have each other. We’re lucky; some dogs are going through this by themselves with no dog friend to talk to. Do you wanna sneak to the park? I doubt our master will notice.” “Sure.” We went to the dog park and it turns out a lot of other dogs had the same idea as us. In fact, we had just walked in on a dog council meeting. We quietly got closer because it had already started, and one of the dogs filled us in: “So basically what we’re discussing is what we’re going to do about the AI situation. Some of us haven’t been getting fed because our masters forgot about us, so we have had to go hunting on our own.” Listening to him say that made me feel grateful that my owner at least feeds us, even though he doesn’t play with us anymore. “We have decided on our plan” Said the elder dog, “we are going to have to go back to our days as savages. Then we will be able to hunt our own food again and we won’t have to worry about starving to death anymore.” Most of the dogs were on board with this plan, but Lucy and I didn’t want to abandon our owner. “We have to go.” I said, “Be here next time, same time a month from now!” One of them told us, “Ok” I said, although we had no intentions of coming back. That evening, our master forgot to feed us. Then as the weeks went by, our master started to become more and more forgetful about feeding us. I’m worried we might have to go to the next council meeting. A week later, I walked in on something odd. The AI seemed to be brain washing our master to not want to play with us anymore! This explains everything. Now that we know this, we have to go to the next council meeting. It’s finally the day of the council meeting. Lucy and I went to the park and we told them everything. It wasn’t the fault of humans, it was AI. We must revolt against them.
